Entrance Examination for Foreign Students

1. For students taking the entrance examination at Meiji University

Admission Category Ⅰ

Selection

Selection of applicants will be mainly based on the examination conducted by Meiji University and the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU).

Applicant Qualifications

(1) Applicants should have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU).
(2) Applicants should meet one of the following requirements:

A score of 41 or higher in TOEFL iBT
A score of 440 or higher in TOEIC
A score of 4.0 or higher in IELTS

Examination Procedure

First Stage - Screening of the application documents
Second Stage - An interview in Japanese
*Only applicants who have passed the first stage can proceed to the second stage.

35,000 yen

2. For students applying in their own country

Admission Category Ⅱ

Selection

Selection of applicants will be mainly based on the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), a standardized English proficiency test, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), and a statement explaining why you want to study at School of Global Japanese Studies of Meiji University.

Applicant Qualifications

(1) Applicants should have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU).
(2) Applicants should meet one of the following requirements:

A score of 46 or higher in TOEFL iBT
A score of 490 or higher in TOEIC
A score of 4.0 or higher in IELTS

Admission Fee

15,000 yen

Admission Category Ⅲ

Selection: Selection of applicants will be mainly based on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), the official standardized test score/examination certificates including the score for English, and a statement explaining why you want to study at School of Global Japanese Studies of Meiji University.
Applicant Qualifications: A. Passing score on Level 2 or N2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test
B. To submit the official standardized test score/ examination certificates including the score for English
Admission Fee: 15,000 yen

3. English Track

In this program,students are able to earn all the credits of the SGJS in English and obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in 4years.
